AvePoint Perimeter Service Pack (SP) 2 Now Available, Provides Secure Mobile Sharing Capabilities

AvePoint announced the general availability of AvePoint Perimeter Service Pack (SP) 2, which provides organizations with a mobile content management solution to secure access to content from several different devices, including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.

With SP2, organizations can now provide users with the ability to choose how and whom they want to collaborate, without compromising security. A new secure file sharing feature eliminates the need to rely on third parties that might put your organization's information at risk. Additionally, a new virtual views feature extends personalized views of SharePoint content to external parties, which provides users with the ability to choose what information they want to share with them.

Furthermore, SPJ 2 also provides IT admins with mobile content management (MCM), remote access, and centralized access control capabilities so that they can set up permissions and rules that work with the organization.

"The workplace and work hours have been expanded through the use of mobile devices and free third-party file sharing services for business purpose. Although beneficial to increase speed of business needs, organizations are now facing security headaches for compliance and IT teams alike. With AvePoint Perimeter, organizations can provide enterprise mobility as a service by giving users the freedom to choose how and with whom they want to collaborate, from external users to devices and locations – all while keeping sensitive digital assets secure," said Dux Raymond Sy, Global Vice President of Customer Strategy & Solutions at AvePoint.
