A: To add a SharePoint announcement Web Part to your Service Manager site, perform the following:

  1. Navigate to the Service Manager site as an administrator.
  2. From the Site Actions menu, select Edit Page.
  3. On the ribbon, select Check Out.
  4. From the Editing Tools ribbon area, select Insert.
  5. Click Web Part, select Announcements, and click Add (see screen shot below). scsmannouncementadd1_2


  6. Select the Format Text menu from the ribbon, select Check In, and enter a comment.
  7. You should now have announcements on your page (see screen shot ).
