Q. Can I use BitLocker on the partition that contains the virtual hard disks (VHDs) from which I natively boot?

A. While VHDs can be stored on a BitLocker encrypted drive, you can't boot natively from a VHD that's on a BitLocker encrypted drive. If you want to boot from those VHD files, they'll need to be on a partition that isn't BitLocker protected, or you'll need to disable BitLocker on the drive.

If you try to boot from a VHD file on a BitLocker drive, before the boot menu is even displayed you'll receive an error that an invalid entry is present.
