A Picture Is Worth 1000 Viruses

Apparently the company's Insignia NS-DPF10A model - a 10.4" digital picture frame - was shipped from the factory with the virus already installed. So anyone who connected that device to their Windows system without adequate virus protection most likely had their computer infected.

The company posted an initial product alert notice and then a follow-up notice along with a phone number for people with the device to call: 1-877-467-4289.

Why the company wasn't running anti-virus software at its own production facility remains a mystery that only a high level corporate executive can explain away.
