New Version of Nmap Recently Released

You undoubtedly have Nmap in your security toolkit -- it's an incredibly useful scanning and auditing tool for nearly any platform, including Windows, Linux, BSD, OS X, Solaris, and more. The newest version, 3.95, was released December 8, 2005 and contains dozens of changes and fixes . Nmap author Fyodor said the new version also resurrects the former NmapFE GUI, which is now based on GTK2 (for Linux users).

If you like to compile your own source code then here's some more good news: Nmap source code is available and the current release will compile with Visual C++ 2005 Express, which Microsoft distributes for free.
