NAI's Brazilian Web Sites Cracked

Microsoft isn't alone in facing embarassment over recent Web site break-ins. On Wednesday a group identifying itself as "insanity zine c0rp" broke into two of Network Associates' (NAI) foreign Web sites and defaced the home pages. NAI's Brazilian Web site, as well as its Brazilian McAfee site were both affected. According to information revealed on the home page defacements mirrored at Attrition.org (NAI, McAfee), the NAI and McAfee sites run on Windows 2000 along with IIS 5.0.

The publically traded Network Associates, Inc. (NASDAQ: NETA) offers broad range of software, including the well-known PGP Security product line. No response from NAI about the break-ins was known at the time of this writing
