Microsoft Set to Deliver Security Updates for All Supported Versions of Windows Next Week

Delivering during TechEd 2014, Microsoft is releasing eight bulletins, two rated Critical and six of them rated as Important. However, when you take a quick glance at the Advance Notification take special note that the .NET Framework, all current Windows versions, and Internet Explorer are being patched.

Windows XP users may look at Microsoft's Advance Security Bulletin Notification for May 2014 and breathe a sigh of relief. But hold on.

Last month, Microsoft offered a patch for a severe flaw in all versions of Internet Explorer. This month, that's not the case as they are only covering supported products. With the wide range of Windows versions being patched, you just know that Windows XP is similarly affected. But, yes…Windows XP is really, truly expired. Accept it and migrate.
