AV Comparatives 2013 IT Security Products for Business Users Report Released

AV Comparatives has been releasing IT Security reports for business since 2009 and has become a popular review sheet for companies who are tasked with revisiting their currently installed security solutions and making potential adjustments. Released around the September to October time frame gives companies plenty of time to budget for changing needs or license renewals.

The 2013 report is now available and reviews products from AVIRA, Bitdefender, ESET, F-Secure, G DATA, Ikarus, Kaspersky, Sophos, Symantec, and Webroot. The review covers the full breadth of each product as it works in the Enterprise including client-side activity and centralized, server components.

Looking through the list, you may see some recognizable vendors missing from the list. Based on various requirements, AV Comparatives limits the number of participants to between 16-20 vendors with the aim to include only good and reliable products/vendors. So, if you don't see the solution you are currently using in the list, there's a good chance they simply didn't meet the criteria to be included.

Extra: AV Comparatives released their mobile security report in August 2013, covering 16 of the top mobile security products. You can read about that here: AV Comparatives Annual Mobile Security Review is a PSA for Android Security Software
