Resource: Microsoft Office 2016 Quick Starts

In October 2017 Microsoft's extended support for Office 2007 will come to an end as the product reaches the end of its full 10 year support cycle.

That means any organizations that are still using that software suite will need to decide on a migration to a more recent version of Office for their users.

One of those options is to consider Office 2016 which was released last Fall and has its full cycle of support in front of it moving forward. Office 2016 is still available as a stand alone install that is licensed to each device through your normal licensing channels or you can subscribe to Office 365 and get the latest updates to the entire suite of software plus additional services such as OneDrive for Business and the new Microsoft Teams.

Whichever path you choose, Microsoft has recently updated their series of Quick Starts for Office 2016 guides that can be very valuable tools in helping your users through the migration from an older software suite like Office 2007 to the more modern and collaborative software in Office 2016 and Office 365.

The updated guides are available in several formats including Microsoft Sway, PDF and browser based as shown below.

Microsoft has even put together guides for those of you using or considering Office 2016 for Mac which can be accessed in PDF or Sway formats.
