Back to the Future: October Word Update Issue Gets a Fix

The wheels of reckoning turn slow sometimes, but they still turn.

An issue that was introduced by an update for Microsoft Word 2010 and 2013 in October has now been given a fix.

A post today on the Office Updates blog gives us a brief explanation of the issue, and relays information about corrective procedures.

Click-to-Run users will get the update automatically, pushing the build number to 15.0.4675.1002. Office 2010 users and Office 2013 users that installed using MSI, will need to review the applicable KB articles to find guidance on how to fix the problem, with entails a manual download.

For Word 2013: December 11, 2014 update for Word 2013 (KB2920738)
