How can I force IE 4 to use a particular search engine?

A. By default Internet Explorer 4 will use a random search engine when you click the Search button however it is possible to force it to a particular search engine by editing the registry:

  1. Start the registry editor (regedit.exe)
  2. Move to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchUrl
  3. Double click the (Default) value
  4. Set to one of the values in the table below and click OK
  5. Close the registry editor
