Palm OS maker PalmSource recently touted its upcoming Palm OS 6 release, due in handheld devices by the end of the year. The OS comes with extensive multimedia capabilities, better multitasking, and support for high-resolution screens. One thing it won't ship with, however, is Macintosh support. PalmSource says that the Mac will continue to be served, however, by Apple and by enterprising third parties but, as usual, these services will come at a premium. Hey, Mac users are used to paying more anyway, right?
