Last week we learned that Microsoft was speeding up the release of the Windows 10 Software Development Kit (SDK) with a plan to match releases of the Windows 10 Insider Preview builds.
We are now 30 days before the General Availability of Windows 10 and while we have not seen a new Insider Preview build to allow the SDK team to also release a new build it does appear that one part of the developer suite now has a firm RTM date.
Over on the Developer Tools Blog, CVP S. Somasegar, has revealed Visual Studio 2015 along with Team Foundation Server 2015 and .NET 4.6 will all be ready for download in their final forms on 20 July 2015.
As Somasegar states this is a big release for the company because they are providing tools to do cross platform development from iOS and Android plus games using Unity, Unreal and Cocos. New tools in the software allow for better diagnostics as you work on your apps and software.
There is no word in this post about the RTM versions of the Windows 10 SDK or any of the other bridges for bringing in your iOS and Android code.
The Visual Studio team will host a Visual Studio 2015 Release Q and A on July 20 at 3:30 pm UTC (8:30 am PDT).
