Telerik announced the general availability of its Q3 2012 suite of development tools. With this release, the company has focused its efforts on Windows 8 and Visual Studio 2012 support, as well as delivering new components that address developers' data visualization needs.
The company released UI Controls for Windows 8, which lets developers rapidly build native Windows Store apps that are ready for enterprise and consumer markets. In addition, Telerik is providing developers with touch capabilities that are available in RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX, WPF, Silverlight, and WinForms. These functionalities provide developers with an intuitive and productive way to leverage Windows 8 functionality.
Telerik's DevCraft Ultimate, formerly known as Telerik Ultimate Collection, continues its close collaboration with Microsoft to provide developers with an easy productivity path with Visual Studio 2012. Additional support elements are included, such as all levels of coded UI test support, a set of four coded UI test levels, and code-generation and intent-aware actions. According to Telerik, these support elements help developers create strong and safe applications. Finally, JustCode now can save Visual Studio settings in the cloud for convenience and accessibility between multiple PCs, installations, or organizations.
Finally, Telerik announced the availability of RadPivotGrid and RadGauge, as well as more HTML chart types for ASP.NET AJAX. RadPivotGrid is a data-analytics tool that's available in RadControls for ASP.NET AJAX, WPF, Silverlight, and WinForms. The tool lets developers slice and dice data in meaningful ways that provide business insights for better decision making. Furthermore, the tool facilitates data manipulation and provides several features such as UI virtualization, configurable positions, tool tips, and a set of flexible reports in tabular, outline, and compact layouts.
