The Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA) version 6.0 for Oracle databases is designed to simplify the database migration process from Oracle databases to SQL Server. According to Microsoft, SSMA automates all aspects of migration including:
- migration assessment analysis
- schema and SQL statement conversion
- data migration
- migration testing
SSMA version 6.0 for Oracle databases also has additional features, such as the ability to:
- automatically move Oracle tables into SQL Server 2014 in-memory tables
- process 10,000 Oracle objects in a single migration
- increase performance in database migration and report generation
