Session 6: Troubleshooting 101

Presented by: Allan Hirt and Ben DeBow

Running Time: 68 min

Last, but not least, everyone runs into a bit of trouble from time to time with no map or starting point. While there are many variables as to what road one will ultimately take, you have to begin somewhere and learn the rudiments when it comes to approaching SQL Server problems. Often times the problem may not be SQL Server, but you can’t get to that conclusion without information. This session will teach you some of the fundamental troubleshooting techniques for SQL Server whether it is performance-related or something that may be causing you an outage. Hopefully you will gain insight into how to stop becoming the default blame acceptor.
