Final call for UK SharePoint Summit '09

There is still time to register to join over 150 fellow IT professionals for SharePoint Summit '09 next Thursday (May 7) at the Radisson Edwardian Heathrow Hotel in Hayes, Middlesex, UK.

SharePoint Summit's star speakers are Windows IT Pro writer Dan Holme and Microsoft UK SharePoint Server product manager Steve Marsh. The Summit is a joint Microsoft/Windows IT Pro presentation with sponsors that include AvePoint, Ascentn, ClearPeople, Content and Code and Sun Microsystems.

Registration for SharePoint Summit '09 costs just £49 (GBP). For the full agenda, further details and registration, see the SharePoint Summit '09 website. Every delegate receives a free 12 month digital subscription to Windows IT Pro worth £39 plus a SharePoint Fundamentals DVD worth £99.

In his keynote session, "SharePoint Takes the Gold", Dan Holme will explain which SharePoint scenarios are well-supported out of the box and which are more complex to implement. SharePoint is not a silver bullet, he will point out, so third-party plug-ins and other solutions will be discussed throughout the day.

Holme's other seminars will include sessions on how to implement SharePoint governance; key administration skills that address collaboration; business process automation; search; and integration with Office 2007. The latter session will focus the types of solutions that deliver maximum value with minimum effort.

Microsoft UK SharePoint Server product manager Steve Marsh will present "Catching up with SharePoint" which will address the flurry of recent SharePoint announcements, cover PerformancePoint and discuss the capabilities Microsoft subsidiary FAST brings to the table.

Microsoft SharePoint partners interested in sponsoring/exhibiting at SharePoint Summit '09 should contact show director Craig Watson via email or by 'phone on +44 (0)161 929 2800.
