How do I subscribe a public folder to a mailing list and send a message with the public folder's address to confirm the subscription request?
In Exchange Server 5.5, use the Microsoft Exchange Administrator application to access the public folder's properties. On the Permissions tab, grant your Windows account the Send As permission on the folder.
In Exchange 2000 Server, use the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) Exchange System Manager snap-in. Bring up the folder's properties; on the Permissions tab, click Directory rights. Add the user or security group that you want to be able to send as the folder, and assign the Send As permission, as Figure 1 shows.
After you have permission to send as the folder, you can reply to the subscription confirmation message. In your reply, choose View, From, and type in the folder's address.
