Q: If I enable more cores for my Azure subscription, does it cost me more money?
A: By default, there are limits based on the number of cores supported by a subscription in Azure. This limit is designed to stop customers from "accidently" overspending on virtual machines; however, this limit can easily be increased via a support request.
Increasing the core limit on your subscription doesn't incur any extra cost. You only pay for the actual cores being used by provisioned virtual machines. Of course, increasing the limit obviously means more cores are available to be used, so if more cores are used you'll pay more as the additional cores are used.
