Q. If I purchase something from the Azure Marketplace does it include all licenses or are there extra charges?
A. The Azure Marketplace provides a location where different vendors can offer services which are typically provided as virtual machines which may include that vendors software. There is often a question of how the vendor software is paid for and this actually varies. Microsoft documents this at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/faq/, specifically the Pricing & Billing section. Vendors can choose how their software is paid for including:
- You bring your own license for the software
- The charge is built into the hourly charge of Azure services
- A flat monthly charge
