Is the 500 IOPS per disk in Azure changing

Q. Is the 500 IOPS per disk for regular Azure Storage changing as a result of the 2016 Ignite networking changes?

A. At this time no. Although in the announcement (https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/azure-networking-announcements-for-ignite-2016/) related to network it talked of improvements to storage for now there are no direct changes to regular storage IOPS as confirmed at the performance table at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/virtual-machines-windows-sizes/.
