Rob Adams

Rob has worked in IT since 1997. After stints as a diesel mechanic and a U.S. Army paratrooper, he turned his PC hobby into a career. He learned about hardware and client OSs during the long Alaska winters, later pursuing formal education in networking and servers, with a focus on Active Directory. Rob now administers a multi-forest environment as a senior technical specialist for a Midwestern electric utility company. He's responsible for various aspects of AD, server maintenance, Citrix, IIS, scripting, and more. Outside of work, Rob spends time motorcycle riding with his wife, serving on a Habitat for Humanity board of directors, volunteering with Habitat ReStore, enjoying college sports, and working to update his Microsoft certifications.

Jason Ford

Jason is an IT professional based in the Kansas City area. He graduated with an Information Technology degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City. He has filled many IT roles, including Help desk technician and server administrator. He's currently a web server administrator and holds an MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician on Windows Vista.

Bill Hubbard

Bill Hubbard became interested in computers and computing while serving in the U.S. Army, working as an electronics technician on Pershing missile systems. He pursued his interest in IT by taking college courses, eventually leading to degrees from City Colleges of Chicago and University of Maryland (UMUC). Bill has more than three decades of experience working in desktop support, field service, systems installation and integration, network and systems administration, and as a technical school instructor. His certifications include MCP, MCTS, MCSA, and MCITP. He is currently employed as a SQL Server database administrator with an international move management company in Florida. Bill has been a Forum Pro since 2002.

Matt James

Matt is the IT manager at DeTect, Inc., a small business specializing in avian and weather radar technologies. He recently completed a full transition for DeTect from a hosted POP email provider to Google Apps for DeTect's 80+ users. Matt enjoys volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, and teaching classes at the local library. Matt also does IT consulting on the side for small businesses and individuals.

Mike Kline

Mike is an IT professional based in the Washington, DC, area. After serving in the Army (97B) and attending George Mason University, Mike officially joined the IT industry in 1999, starting as a Help desk technician and working his way up to his current role as an Active Directory systems engineer. He’s currently a Microsoft MVP for Directory Services and holds several certifications, including MCSE, MCITP, and CISSP. He's also active in several forums and has a personal blog at


Mahmoud Magdy

Mahmoud is a technology architect at Ingazat Information Technology. He's a Microsoft MVP for Exchange Server, as well as a CCA, CCNP and MCITP. Mahmoud's main areas of interest are unified communications, virtualization, and storage. He has worked as an infrastructure manager for Palmhills Development, an infrastructure consultant for Microsoft consulting services, and a consultant/technical account manager for Global Knowledge. He lives in Cairo, Egypt, with his lovely wife and adorable daughter.


Danny McDaniel

Danny is an IT operations manager at the Hach Company and is in charge of a Help desk team that supports approximately 1,600 global users. Danny has also worked as a senior systems administrator (managing more than 100 Windows servers, plus storage and other infrastructure) and was an escalation engineer for VMware support for several years. He also spent more than 15 years at HP/Agilent in various IT roles, ranging from phone support for tape and CDR drives to systems administration. Danny lives in Northern Colorado with his wife and three pre-teen children.
