MDX Puzzle - 01 Nov 1999

Imagine that you have a simple grid showing the FoodMart Sales cube in your application and that you're displaying the quarters of 1997 across the columns, and CA, OR, and WA down the rows. A user clicks on CA to drill down. What's the easiest way to formulate a query that lets the user drill down on CA? Remember, let Multidimensional Expressions (MDX) do the work for you. Until next time, if you have ideas or questions for future columns, please send us email at [email protected].
