Zune HD Hardware Hands-On

For the past several weeks, I've been eager to show off the Zune HD and its various hardware accessories, cases, and other physical accouterments. So to start off what will surely be at least a few week's worth of Zune HD content, here then is my first hands-on experience with the latest Zune, in visual style. Below you will find links to three photo galleries that detail the Zune device itself, including the unboxing experience, the Zune HD & AV Dock, various Zune HD cases, and then the Zune HD compared to its closest competitor--the latest iPod touch--as well as each previous generation Zune device. It's a Zune-a-rama, done HD style.

I will also be providing a multi-part review of the Zune HD, the Zune 4.0 PC software, the new and improved Zune services, and, in November, of the Zune video integration with the Xbox 360. This is an exciting time to be a Zune fan, as I'm sure you're aware, and though Microsoft has seemingly limited the Zune line to just this single model, the truth is that Microsoft is really just expanding the number of ways in which you can access Zune services, by moving this wonderful software to a variety of devices. Trust me, the Xbox 360 is just the start, and I think you'll be happily surprised to see what Microsoft is doing with the Zune going forward.

But first, a single step. Here are my first hands-on photo galleries of the Zune HD. Enjoy!
