Xbox One with Kinect Goes on Sale for Two Weeks, Refurb Unit Still the Best Deal

If you're in the market for an Xbox One with the Kinect, Microsoft is making it easier to justify getting one for the next couple weeks.

Microsoft unbundled the Kinect unit from the main console early on to appease customers who felt the add-on wasn't necessary and only added to the cost. But, in reality, Kinect technology is what makes the Xbox One truly special.

Starting to tomorrow (February 8), the Xbox One with Kinect goes on sale for $449. That's $50 off the regular price. The sales runs through February 21 and the gaming system is available from most retail partners including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Toys R Us, Walmart, and the Microsoft Stores.

But, here's an additional tip. Microsoft also offers Xbox One with Kinect refurbished units for just $399.99. The refurbished console comes with one month of Xbox Live Gold, Dance Central Spotlight (free download), Ryse: Son of Rome (free download), and Titanfall.

The Kinect-less version of the Xbox One is still just $349. Microsoft continues to suggest that this is a limited-time price, but after showing improved sales during the 2014 holidays, it really makes no sense for Microsoft raise the price anytime soon, if ever.
