Will my certifications have value to my current and future employers?

A. Certifications can be an asset when it comes to getting and keeping your job. But a certification is not a magic golden key to the IT world. The value that employers place on certification will vary considerably, just like the training benefits that companies provide. If you are having problems convincing prospective employers that your certifications have value, this difficulty might be a blessing in disguise because these employers would be unlikely to support your continued certification efforts after you become an employee. Just keep looking and you will find an employer who values your certification accomplishments and will be supportive in your future certification pursuits.
