A. Datacenter LE is a new server product in the Windows product line. Microsoft targets this product at customers who require high scalability and fast performance on systems that have 16 or more processors. Datacenter LE builds on Windows 2000 Datacenter Server and will be available exclusively through the Windows Datacenter Program. Datacenter LE will be available in the first or second quarter of 2002 for a 32-bit Windows platform but not for Intel's 64-bit Itanium chipset.
