A. MSINFO32.EXE was first introduced with Office 97 and gives detailed information about your computer. In Windows 2000, MSINFO32.EXE has replaced WINMSD.EXE and if you try and start WINMSD, MSINFO32 will be started.
MSINFO32 not only gives information about your hardware, it can give full information about currently running processes, programs configured to start when the system starts and much more.
