What is an adaptive test and how does this differ from a regular test?

A. Standard format certification tests have a set number of questions. These exams allow you can mark questions and return to them in the future if you have the time. You can change your answers at any time until the exam time period ends. A Computer Adaptive Testing (CAT) test poses a baseline question and follows these up with more difficult questions if you answer correctly or an easier one if you are wrong. The test length can vary considerably and if you do well can be over very quickly. You can learn more about the testing on the Microsoft site at Testing Innovations.
