Sales of Violent Video Games Drop

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA), citing research from the NDP Group, said Mature -rated video games have dropped in popularity. The percentage of M-rated games sold fell to 11.9 percent in 2003 from 13.2 percent in 2002. The M–rated games generated $833 million in revenue in 2003, compared with $910.8 million in 2002.

"Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" was the only M–rated video game to become 1 of the 10 best-selling console titles of 2003. According to the NDP Group, here's the list of the top 10 console video game titles of 2003:
