Quick Tip: Pairing Problems with Microsoft Bands Sold in International Markets

Just a quick one.

Some international Microsoft Band owners have reported problems when attempting to pair the Microsoft Band 2 with their Windows Phones. The reason? Well…the reason is one most international users are constantly complaining about – particularly with the Microsoft Band. Even though the Microsoft Band is offered in other, non-US markets, it still suffers from US-itis.

If you’re an international Microsoft Band owner and have problems pairing your fitness wearable with your Windows Phone, change your phone language to EN-US and then attempt to pair again. After the band pairs successfully you can change the language back to your native tongue.

This only affects a small number of language settings, but Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working on a solution for an upcoming update.
