Q. When you run a MOM script on a Windows Server 2003 cluster node it leaves a file handle open on the cluster disk resource?

When you run a MOM (Microsoft Operations Manager) script that calls the DefragAnalysis method on a Windows Server 2003 cluster node and the cluster node does NOT own the cluster disk resource, a file handle is left open on the cluster disk resource, preventing fail over.

To workaround this behavior, modify the MOM script to only call the DefragAnalysis method when the cluster disk resource is owned by the cluster node, OR modify the MOM script to not call the DefragAnalysis method in a clustered environment.
