When you use the RIES feature in Internet Explorer 7, the following settings are NOT reset because other applications
use them:

Enable FTP folder view (outside of Internet Explorer) |

Use passive FTP (for firewall and DSL modem compatibility) |
•
|
Always use ClearType for HTML |
•
|
Check for Publisher’s certificate revocation |
To reset these settings on Windows XP or Microsoft Windows Server 2003

Start / Run / Inetcpl.cpl / OK. |

In the Internet Properties dialog, select the Advanced
tab and press Restore advanced settings, or manually check or clear the boxes for the settings that you want to change. |
To reset these settings on Windows Vista
1. |
Start / Start Search / inetcpl.cpl and then press inetcpl.cpl
in the Programs list. |

In the Internet Properties dialog, select the Advanced tab and press
Restore advanced settings, or manually check or clear the boxes for the settings that you want to change. |
RIES does NOT affect the following settings:

Automatically detect intranet network setting is enabled
by default. To change this setting:

Select the Security tab on the Internet Properties
dialog. Press Local intranet and press Sites. |
2. |
Toggle the box that is next to Automatically detect intranet network. |

The Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone
check box for the local intranet is not selected. To restore this setting:

Select the Security tab in the Internet Properties
dialog. Select the Local intranet zone and press Sites. |

In the Local intranet dialog, press Advanced. |

Toggle the Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone box. |

check box for trusted sites is selected. To restore this setting:

dialog. Select the Trusted sites zone and press Sites. |

Use the View menu to press Toolbars and toggle Lock the Toolbars
