Q. Internet Explorer 7 exits immediately on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003?

When you start Internet Explorer 7, it immediately quits.

This behavior will occur if the IEProxy.dll library is incorrectly registered.

To workaround this problem:

1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer 7 that may be running.

2. Open a CMD.EXE window.

3. Type the following commands, pressing Enter after each line:

cd "%programfiles%\Internet Explorer"
regsvr32 /s IEProxy.dll
exit

4. Start Internet Explorer 7.
