A. In previous versions of Windows, you configure media sharing using the Windows Media Player application. In Windows 7, you configure sharing using the Network and Sharing Center Control Panel applet. Open the applet by clicking the Choose homegroup and sharing options link in the Network and Sharing Center applet, as shown here.

Click the Change advanced sharing settings... link to open the sharing options screen, which has a media streaming area. Click the Choose media streaming options... link to open the screen shown here, which lets you to enable sharing to various types of devices. You can also use this screen to name your media library and configure if your computer can sleep. Once configured, Windows 7 will stream to your devices.

You can also access media streaming options through a link in Windows Media Player in the Stream menu, as shown here.
