Q. How can I change the amount of cache used for software distribution on systems that run the Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) Advanced Client?

A. If the SMS Advanced Client is already installed, you can use the System Management Control Panel applet's Advanced tab to modify the amount of cache that the client uses for software distribution. To set the cache size during SMS installation, run either of the following commands:

ccmsetup smscachesize=&ltnew size&gt

or

capinst /advcli /advclicmd smscachesize=&ltnew size&gt

You should enter the cache size in megabytes.
