Q. With Cluster Shared Volumes (CSVs), do all nodes in the cluster require the same system drive letter?

A. Yes and No. CSV will work fine with different system drive letters, which means if you have a three-node cluster and on two of the nodes the system drive is C and on the other, the system drive was D, the ClusterShared folder would be C:\ClusterStorage on two of the nodes and D:\ClusterStorage on the other. The problem is that the actual VMs need a full path and not environment variables. Thus if two nodes had C and another node had D, then the VM would not work on the node with a system drive of D if the VM was created on the other nodes because the path for the VM would be C:\ClusterShared\Volumex\vm1\, which would not exist on the node with a system drive of D
