Preboot Execution Environment in Virtual Server

Q. Is Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) boot support part of Microsoft Virtual PC and Virtual Server?

A. Virtual Server 2005 R2 and Virtual PC 2007 includes a PXE boot capability to enable a virtual machine (VM) to boot from the network. By default, if there's no OS on the hard disk and no floppy disk or CD-ROM, then the VM will attempt to boot from the network although this boot order can be changed within the BIOS as the figure shows.
