I’m a part-time Pokemon Go player and have no real accomplishments to brag about. If I even tried, you’d laugh. My kids, on the other hand, plan all-day outings with their friends to drive around the local area and hunt for rare Pokemon. My youngest son and his friends use launch chairs and sit for hours in chosen spots baiting Pokemon, not unlike trying to catch real fish.
It’s amazing to me how Pokemon Go has quickly cemented itself into everyday life and activity for a lot of people. As Microsoft Band owner, I’ve seen Band community participants go from 0-steps per day to 10’s of thousands – just due to playing the game. That’s nothing short of amazing.
One of the biggest issues with the game is the battery drain. I wrote recently about some tips for maximizing battery, but if you are intent on playing the game for long hours you really need to invest in a portable battery pack.
