Microsoft Updates MSN TV 2

Microsoft has announced updates to its MSN TV 2 Internet & Media Player, which the company first released in October 2004. The product, which was formerly called WebTV, allows for viewing the Web, reading email, and linking to a PC for watching PC-based movies and listening to music. The update adds the ability to watch additional video content, listen to music (e.g., music purchased at Napster) with Windows Digital Rights Management (DRM), improved photo management, and the ability to read non-MSN email. Microsoft also announced a $100 rebate on the device until January 31, 2006, which cuts the price of the device in half to $99.
