Microsoft Standardizes Product Support Policies

Microsoft announced its new Support Lifecycle policy, which standardizes product-support policies beginning October 15. For business and development software, the policy offers mainstream support (all support options and programs available today), extended support (options include assisted and hotfix support), and online self-help support.
