Microsoft Offers Less-Technical Security Information

Microsoft is now offering news about product security problems to less technical users, such as home users and corporate executives who don't need exact details.

"At Microsoft, we recognize that security is job one, and we must continually improve our products to better defend against ever-changing security threats. It's important that home users as well as our enterprise customers have timely information and security updates to help keep their systems as secure as possible," said Steve Lipner, director of security assurance for Microsoft.

Users can subscribe to the new security alerting service at the Microsoft Security Update Web site.
