In 1993, Windows NT was new and seemed surprisingly good to me, so I wrote a book about it. Not everyone agreed with me—it seemed that everyone else “knew” that Novell was the king and would be forever, so when I heard that a little press out of Colorado was launching an NT-oriented magazine, I called them up and asked (okay, maybe there was some begging) if they would let me write a few articles for their new periodical.
