Microsoft is continuing to push a grassroots marketing movement for its Microsoft Band wearable through partnerships with fitness organizations and individuals. The latest partnership is with UK’s Joe Wicks.
Joe is a personal trainer and Instagram sensation (find him on Twitter at: @thebodycoach), and the author of the best-selling Lean in 15: 15 Minute Meals and Workouts to Keep You Lean and Healthy book. Joe prescribes 15-minute HIIT (high-intensity interval training) workouts along with smart eating instead of spending hours and hours at the gym and then jumping from one fad diet to the next. It’s about making small changes that can last instead of dreadful ones that are eventually too difficult to maintain.
Joe uses the Microsoft Band to track fitness activity with primary focus on tracking and monitoring sustained elevation in heart rate to ensure there’s just enough activity for continued improvement.
