JSI Tip 9594. After you unplug a USB display device from Windows XP, it remains visible in Device Manager?

When you unplug a USB device, it should NOT remain visible in Device Manager.

When you unplug a USB display device, it remains visible in Device Manager.

This behavior occurs because video-port based device drivers are NOT automatically unloaded.

The only way to unload a video-port based device driver is to restart Windows XP.
