JSI Tip 9522. A program is added to the Windows Firewall exceptions list when the 'Do not display the message after this program' check box is selected?

When an ordinary domain user starts a program that listens on a port in Windows XP SP2, or Windows Server 2003 SP1, Windows Firewall displays a notification dialog that contains a Do not display the message after this program check box. If the ordinary domain user selects the check box and presses OK, the program that listens on a port is added to the Windows Firewall exception list, but it is NOT checked.

Windows Firewall always adds a program that it detects is listing on a port to the exception list, unless you check Ask me later, to make the task of allowing the blocked program easier.
