JSI Tip 9507. How can I configure the Windows Firewall in Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 from a command?

In tip 7908 » Netsh Command Syntax for the Netsh Firewall Context, I described the improved commands available with Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2.

Windows Server 2003 with SP1 includes that same command-line improvements:

- Turn the firewall Off, On, On with no exceptions.

- Enable or disable exceptions on an interface.

- Enable or disable exceptions on all interfaces.

- Configure ICMP (Internet Control Message Protocol) options.

- Set logging options.
