JSI Tip 8826. When you perform a surprise removal of a CardBus USB host controller from Windows 2000, your computer hangs or BSODs?

When you remove a CardBus USB host controller from Windows 2000, your computer stops responding, or you may receive a STOP error (BSOD - Blue Screen Of Death).

The USB driver stack in Windows 2000 was developed before CardBus USB host controllers and was NOT designed to cope with surprise removal.

NOTE: Since SP4 is the last service pack for Windows 2000, you should NOT expect this functionality to be incorporated.
