JSI Tip 8702. Windows 2000 Device Manager displays 'Not digitally signed' in the Digital Signer field, even though the device driver is digitally signed?

When you view the Driver tab for device properties in Windows 2000 Device Manager, the Digital Signer field displays Not digitally signed, even though the device is digitally signed.

NOTE: When you use Sigverif.exe, the File Signature Verification tool, all system files are displayed as not digitally signed.

This behavior will occur if you log on to Windows 2000 with an account that only has Guest account permissions.
