JSI Tip 8673. When you use a Windows 2000 DNS server to update DNS records over a VPN connection, some DNS record are NOT updated?

The subject behavior will occur is any of the following are true:

• You use a 3rd party firewall that has the UDP enforcement feature enabled.

• You use a 3rd party firewall that blocks DNS update requests.

To fix this behavior, disable the UDP enforcement feature, or configure the firewall to permit DNS update requests.
